Chiayi County, located in the center of Jianan Plain, is a typical rural county, covering an area of 1951.39 square kilometers, which connects Mt. Jade on the east and borders Taiwan Straits on the west. It neighbors Tainan County and connects with Guanzihling on the south and faces to Tsaoling Landscape, Yunlin County on the north. The Pajhang, Putzih and Beigang are three major rivers. Within the county, Alishan Mountains, Fencihu, Rueili and Dapu are known as the popular touring resorts far and wide. There are total 18 townships and 357 villages with population of 562,500 in Chiayi County so far.
